Volunteer work is free to Vestavia Hills residents in need
Join the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and the city of Vestavia Hills for their 3rd annual Helping Hands in the Hills day of service on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
Helping Hands in the Hills is a service day formed to help Vestavia Hills residents (senior citizens, disabled, etc.) who need some “helping hands” with minor projects or yard work around their home.
We were incredibly blessed last year to have more than 300 volunteers, ranging in age from preschool to senior citizens, serving throughout the city, and this year our hope is to have even more volunteers to serve even more residents!
This year’s day of service will be kicking off at 8:30 AM at the Wald Park pool pavilion with breakfast provided by a sponsor. From there, volunteers will disperse throughout Vestavia Hills to serve residents in need and help with various projects around the city. Afterwards, lunch will be provided to all volunteers courtesy of another sponsor.
