Leadership Today
What skills do today’s leaders need? Why is leadership still more important than ever? Dr. Craig McAllaster is going to apply his knowledge as he leads us in relevant discussion on this topic. In this session, we will answer these questions:
- Is leadership lost?
- What has leadership been in the past and where is it going in the future?
- What are the current challenges and future opportunities for leaders?
- How do we bridge the generations through leadership?
- What are key characteristics of leadership and how do organizations stack up?
- How do your motives impact your leadership approach?

Craig McAllaster
Dr. Craig M. McAllaster has learned, lived and taught Leadership all of his life. Consistent preparation, from corporate and academic experience, combine to yield unique lessons on the history and future challenges of leadership in organizations.
Craig has worked in corporate executive positions at Consolidated Foods, AVX Corporation and Loral Corporation. He has consulted for numerous clients including Mobil, IBM, Aramark, Lockheed-Martin, Xerox and AT&T. Craig has also served on the boards of Nemours Children’s Hospital, CNL Hotel and Resorts and BankFIRST. His professional association includes the National Association of Corporate Directors and AACSB International Board of Directors and is past president of the Southern Business Deans Association.
He is most recently Professor Emeritus and Dean Emeritus at the Crummer Graduate School of Business. He also served as Interim Provost and Acting President of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. In past academic endeavors, Craig served on the faculties of Alfred State College, Cornell University and the University of Central Florida. His education includes BS, University of Arizona, MS, Alfred University and MA & Doctorate, Columbia University.
