On February 12th, we welcome Gail C. Andrews to speak on the art and storytelling of quilt-making. Quilts are visual documents of our country’s history; they can be made to celebrate an important event or record a tragedy. Andrews, Director Amerita of the Birmingham Museum of Art will explore the ways quilt-makers have expressed their feelings about country, politics, political loyalties, war and various social movements. OLLI Bonuses are open to the public and a great introduction to the benefits of our membership program. For more information, visit www.olli.ua.edu or call 205-348-6482.
